Fuel granules (pellets)

Listning ID 39066

Description

Always in the presence of granules with a diameter of 6, 8, 10 mm.

Packaged in bags of 15 kg or big bags of 1000 kg.

The physical characteristics of pellets from wood

§ The energy released during combustion - 5 kW/kg;

§ The balance of humidity is 8-12%;

§ Ash, max 3%;

§ Length of 5-50 mm;

§ The pellet density 1200-1400 kg/m3;

§ Bulk density (for transportirovki and storage) 650 kg/m3;

§ When burning 1 ton of pellets is released as much thermal energy as the burning of:

§ 1600 kg of wood;

§ 475 m3 of gas;

§ 500 liters of diesel fuel;

§ 685 l of fuel oil.

Advantages

§ Pellets — environmentally friendly fuel with an ash content of not more than 3%. When burning pellets emit as much CO2 as was absorbed by the plant during growth.

§ Pellets are less susceptible to spontaneous combustion, as it does not contain dust and spores that can also cause allergic reactions in people.

§ Granules differ from ordinary wood by high dryness (8-12% moisture against 30-50% in firewood) and greater — about half — density. These qualities provide a high calorific value compared to wood chips or wood — when burned tons of pellets is approximately 5000 kWh of heat that a half times more than ordinary wood.

§ Low humidity is not the only advantage of pellets as fuel, but the problem of their production. Drying may be one of the main items of expenditure in the production of fuels from waste wood. In addition, depending on the production, collection, sorting and cleaning materials may also incur additional costs. The drying process is important to carefully plan that will reduce the risks associated with the quality of the finished product, its cost and fire hazard of production. The best option is the production of biofuels from dry chips.

§ One of the major advantages of pellets — high and constant bulk density, allowing relatively easy to transport this bulk product over long distances. Due to correct shape, small size and uniform consistency of the product granules can pour through a special sleeve that allows you to automate the processes of loading and unloading and also burning this type of fuel.

Disadvantages

§ The need for warehouse stock

§ If the place of growth of raw environment contains toxins or radioactive substances, during burning pellets, these substances may be dispersed into the atmosphere.
